There is a globally-minded audience of readers who are hungry for opportunities and experiences beyond their national borders. Most people will visit the website from referrals links to articles, and won't necessarily visit the homepage.
Using a powerful sharing features , Copylink is an online magazine focused on millennial audience and their world of content. The content of the magazine will focus mostly on Lifestyle, Music, Fashion, Money, Tech and Culture.
Through the design process, I had one thing in mind. I need to find a smart sharing system for the magazine, so its stories will get viral quickly and gain organic visits.
The solution: using auto-generated UTM links and tagging system, based on how many times the link was copied from address bar.
Through the UX research, I realised that most people are just copying the link from address bar, instead of using sharing buttons when they want to share content. in Copylink, each time a link is copied, it adds one point for the Trending matrix of the specific article. At any given moment, you can reach the Top 5 trending stories of a given category by using auto-generated UTM links. For example:
